Promo visuals for like minded collective 4AM. Scanned heads of heard artists in the UE4 space
This film was the result of taking the theme of separation and loss suggested within the music and placing that inside a stream of consciousness. The stream was bought to life by combining real world film and constructed 3D environments (using the open source Unreal Engine) to explore a journey through an alternate reality. Water, fire, rain, the moon, stars and architecture became constant objects and materials that helped show the often emotional situations one can go through when dealing with these themes. Working with these programs allowed for a non linear way to create and thus much of this was unplanned, keeping the end result unknown until the final bounce.
Produced in late 2014 for French Rockets, this film was made with new 3D face scanning technology, and although a little different to the main service that SPACESCAN provides, is worth a mention. This shows the possibilities in the creation of unique and strange spaces within the 3D world. A project which took about one month to program and another month on 5-6 computers in a render farm to churn out each of the 7500 frames, the results are quite beautiful. Now with new hardware and a free open source programs such as Blender, the only limit is ones own imagination.
First release from the album 'Arc' - released early 2015.
